Scientific Coursework

I worked as an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Trino Ascencio-Ibáñez’s lab as part of the Biochemistry Undergraduate Research and Training Program. I executed small and large-scale production of a viral protein (Rep) in E. coli, focusing on achieving optimal yields for use in subsequent binding and inhibition assays with small molecules. I presented my work at the 2023 State of North Carolina Undergraduate Research & Creativity Symposium.
